Actors Saba Qamar and Nauman Ijaz are all set to captivate audiences with their on-screen chemistry as a married couple in ZEE5’s original web-series ‘Mrs & Mr Shameem’.
Formerly titled ‘Mann Jogi’, this series promises to offer a unique portrayal of love, friendship, and the journey of growing old together.
Directed by the acclaimed Kashif Nisar, known for his work on popular dramas like ‘Dumpukht’, ‘Aatish E Ishq’, and ‘O Rangreza’, ‘Mrs & Mr Shameem’ is penned by the talented Saji Gul, the writer behind the hit drama ‘O Rangreza’.
Nauman Ijaz gave a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes action with director Kashif Nisar in an Instagram post back in 2021, building anticipation for the upcoming series.
Originally announced as part of Zindagi’s line-up of original web-series in 2020, ‘Mann Jogi’ underwent a title change after much deliberation to better reflect the essence of the story. Director Kashif Nisar explained,
“We were contemplating about the title for a while and finally decided to call it Mrs & Mr Shameem. It is a true reflection of the story and depicts a changing outlook among society one in which the woman plays an equally significant role in a relationship.”
The series promises to challenge traditional norms and celebrate the evolving dynamics of modern relationships. Saba Qamar and Nauman Ijaz are expected to deliver stellar performances, breathing life into the characters of Mrs and Mr Shameem.
