Pakistani TV introduces new programming during Ramadan. We have been treated to Ramadan dramas every year since Suno Chanda’s explosive success, and every channel tries to outdo the other with their own series.

We’ve seen a tone of Ramadan Specials this year, and Hum TV.

The network that started this trend has also published two series. One drama that is receiving a lot of views and sparking a lot of discussion among viewers is called Very Filmy.

The story of this Ameer Gilani and Dananeer Mobeen film, which follows the hero as he pretends to be SRK, features a number of recreations from Indian movies.

The sequences are lifted verbatim from a number of well-known films, including as Devdas, Pathaan, and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

The episode from last night also had a sequence in which Ameer pretended to be Shahrukh and Dananeer imitated Aishwarya Rai Bachan.

It’s common knowledge that ripping off Indian films is pitiful, and that it makes no sense to air this kind of material during Ramadan.

The show has received a lot of negative feedback from viewers, with many even calling for an outright prohibition because Indian media consistently denigrates Pakistanis while Pakistanis support their performers.
