Rather than throwing a grand celebration for her 50th birthday, Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan decided to spend her day helping cancer patients.
The Times of India reports that the well-known actress from Devdas spent her birthday at a gathering for cancer patients hosted by GSB Seva Mandal, along with her mother Vrinda and daughter Aaradhya.
The Robot actress disclosed earlier this year that her mother had cancer, which “touched their lives personally.” Bachchan continued, saying her mum is doing well now.
I’m not sure if I should mention this, but each of us has been directly impacted by cancer. According to Indian media sites, Bachchan added,
“First it was my dad and then my mum got it earlier this year, but she has come out of it, with the support of so many incredible doctors and a lot of love and blessings from everyone.”
However, that is not the motivation for our efforts to support cancer patients.
We had previously been involved with this cause, and my mother’s experience was incidental; one doesn’t genuinely work towards anything if it upsets them.
The celebrity underlined, “I couldn’t envision today becoming remarkable in any other manner.
“Being able to contribute and be there for individuals in my life and anyone else whose life I can affect will always be my way of life.
I felt compelled to stand here and, via the media, thank all of the people who have impacted my life, including the professionals.
I have collaborated with, for providing me with the chance to speak publicly as a well-known figure thanks to the work I have accomplished.
