Sonya Hussyn, known for her versatility and impactful performances, has become a household name in Pakistani television and cinema. With hit dramas like Farwa Ki ABC, Nazzo, Ishq Zahe Naseeb, Muhabbat Tujhe Alvida, and Ik Chubhan Si, she has built a strong fan base. On Instagram alone, Sonya boasts an impressive 3.1 million followers.

Currently, she’s gearing up for two major releases. First, she will star alongside Imran Ashraf and Mikaal Zulfiqar in Masoom, an upcoming drama on Hum TV. Secondly, her much-anticipated horror film Deemak, also featuring Faysal Quraishi and Samina Peerzada, is set to hit cinemas this Eid ul Azha.
While promoting Deemak in Lahore, Sonya sat down for an exclusive interview with senior journalist and YouTuber Ambreen Fatima. During the candid chat, the topic of marriage came up—and so did a big question: Will Sonya continue acting after getting married?

Responding with honesty, Sonya shared, “When I find the right person, I’ll get married. I want my future husband to be educated, respectful, and have strong family values like mine. If he doesn’t want me to act, I’ll leave acting without hesitation.” She went on to explain that she’s already stepping into production and intends to shift her focus there. “I’ll act for a few more years only,” she added, hinting at a gradual transition behind the scenes.
This revelation sparked mixed reactions online, with many fans praising her grounded approach. Whether she continues acting or not, Sonya clearly plans to stay connected to storytelling.
As Deemak’s release nears and Masoom prepares to air, fans eagerly await what’s next for the star—both on and off screen.
