In a heartbreaking incident, 17-year-old social media influencer Sana Yousaf was tragically shot dead at her home in Islamabad on the night of June 2, 2025. According to initial reports, an unidentified man entered her residence in Sector G-13 around 9:00 pm and fatally shot her. The young influencer died on the spot. Her parents rushed her to the hospital, but doctors confirmed she had already passed away.
Sana Yousaf had built a massive online presence with over 500,000 Instagram followers and 800,000 fans on TikTok. Known for her captivating looks and engaging videos, she often drew comparisons to actress Hania Aamir. Tragically, Sana had just celebrated her 17th birthday earlier that day, even sharing a cheerful reel on Instagram and TikTok with her fans.
Following the incident, her body was moved to PIMS Hospital for postmortem. Later, her family confirmed that she would be laid to rest in her hometown, Upper Chitral, after the ghusal at H-8 Graveyard in Islamabad. Originally from Chitral, Sana had been living in Islamabad with her parents.
As the news broke, a wave of shock and sorrow swept through social media. Thousands of fans and fellow creators shared heartfelt tributes. One user wrote, “She died on her birthday… so tragic.” Another commented, “I can’t believe it. She was so full of life just a few hours ago.” Many also voiced concerns about growing insecurity in the country and the lack of protection for public figures.
Sana’s untimely death has left a void in the digital community. Her infectious energy and presence will be deeply missed by her fans. As condolences pour in, many are calling for justice and better safety measures to prevent such tragic losses in the future.
