Sunita Marshall, one of Pakistan’s most graceful supermodels and accomplished actresses, continues to inspire with her elegance and honesty. Married to actor Hassan Ahmed, the couple shares two children and has always stood out for their mutual respect and strong bond. Despite being in an interfaith marriage, Sunita has remained firm in her Christian identity, which she embraces with pride.
In a recent appearance on the FWhy Podcast, Sunita opened up about life as a minority in Pakistan. She revealed that while her entire family has moved to London for better economic opportunities, she chose to stay in Pakistan. Interestingly, Sunita shared that she has never personally faced religious discrimination and that her family, too, was treated respectfully. Her experience stands as a positive example of religious tolerance in a country where such stories are rare.
She also spoke about her five-year relationship with Hassan before they tied the knot. Sunita regularly visited Hassan’s home, where his extended family always welcomed her warmly. Their respectful behavior played a significant role in convincing Sunita’s parents to support the marriage, even though Hassan came from a different faith.

However, not everyone approved initially. Sunita recalled how her church priest had reservations about the marriage. Eventually, Hassan’s uncle approached the Bishop, and the couple received a green signal. Their church wedding was attended by Hassan’s entire family, a moment that held great meaning for both sides.

Later in life, after experiencing a traumatic kidnapping, Hassan went for Umrah. Upon his return, he expressed a heartfelt wish for Sunita to convert. But she made it clear that any such decision must come from within. Hassan respected her stance and never asked again.
Sunita’s story is one of love, mutual respect, and staying true to one’s faith—an inspiring example for many.
