Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated sharply due to ongoing political friction. In April 2025, India allegedly carried out false flag operations in Pahalgam. More recently, a fresh wave of attacks targeted several regions in Pakistan. In retaliation, Pakistan responded forcefully—destroying Indian Army check posts, shooting down multiple drones, and neutralizing hostile crafts near the border.
Meanwhile, Indian media ramped up its coverage, broadcasting sensational reports that claimed exaggerated victories and predicted further conflict. In fact, some anchors discussed hypothetical war strategies with alarming enthusiasm. The hype became so intense that the Indian Defence Ministry was compelled to issue an official warning to media outlets, urging them to exercise restraint and responsibility.

This chaotic media frenzy caught the attention of Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, who openly condemned the role of Indian news channels. Taking to social media, she shared the ministry’s advisory along with a bold statement. She wrote, “Our news channels are a joke! I’m so done with the over-dramatized visuals, sound effects, screaming, and shouting. What are you doing? Just report the facts. Stop sensationalizing war and causing panic among people who are already anxious. Find a reliable source and stop watching this garbage in the name of news.”

Sonakshi’s strong remarks instantly went viral. Her criticism struck a chord with many—especially across the border. Pakistani fans praised her courage for calling out media sensationalism.
Notably, former Pakistani actor Ahsan Mohsin Ikram, who is also Minal Khan’s husband, applauded Sonakshi’s honesty. Sharing her post, he highlighted how Indian media continues to mislead the public with false narratives.

As the situation remains tense, voices like Sonakshi’s serve as a reminder of the need for ethical journalism during times of conflict. Her stance has earned respect from both sides of the border.
