Pakistani cricketer Shadab Khan has finally addressed the allegations made by TikTok star Shahtaj Khan about their alleged relationship.
The controversy began in September 2024 when Shahtaj claimed she had communicated with Shadab through WhatsApp and Instagram for several months. Her comments sparked debate at the time, but Shadab chose to remain silent until recently. During his appearance on a comedy show on a private TV channel, he finally responded to the claims.
The host directly asked Shadab about allegations from actresses who frequently claim that cricketers send them messages. The host wanted to know whether these claims were true or simply rumors.
Shadab confidently replied, “Even if they do, what’s wrong with it? If you don’t like it, don’t answer; just ignore it.” He also explained, “If she responds, it shows she’s also interested in the conversation.”
He dismissed the claims as exaggerated, particularly during cricket tournaments, and emphasized, “There’s nothing like what’s being claimed. People often make these statements just to gain fame.”
Adding a humorous touch, Shadab revealed that cricketers often joke about such rumors among themselves, teasingly asking one another, “Who sent that message?”
Meanwhile, Shahtaj Khan added fuel to the controversy during her appearance on Mathira’s talk show. She expressed her admiration for Shadab and admitted traveling to Lahore to watch his matches. Shahtaj also shared her heartbreak when Shadab married Saqlain Mushtaq’s daughter in January 2023.
Shahtaj’s disappointment didn’t stop there. She reportedly criticized Shadab in a private conversation with friends after his marriage. The leaked conversation quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions from Shadab’s fans and reigniting the debate surrounding the allegations.
