The Talented Actress Sanam Saeed recently offered her thoughts on how women’s financial independence is influencing the rising divorce rates in the current era in an interview with a digital magazine.
The “Daam” Actress accused certain women for spoiling and obsessing over their kids, and those guys expected the same from their better halves when they grew up and got married.
The Actress was discussing the value of self-love and its effect on mental health.
She stated, “A man who receives constant spoiling from his mother will also anticipate the same from his spouse.
“Times are changing,” Saeed said again. Since we women today work and are free from having to follow their example, divorce rates are regrettably higher because there is no legal requirement to remain in a marriage.
The process of working on a marriage is very different from staying in an unhealthy relationship because you feel pressured to stay because you have nowhere else to live or what to do.
However, you don’t have to stay in an unhealthy relationship.
Because the women can get up and go on their own and stand up for themselves, I believe that [financial] independence is the reason why divorces have grown more widespread, the speaker said.
Although Saeed emphasised that every divorce “happens for its own reason,” women’s financial independence and education are important factors in enabling them to leave unsatisfactory marriages.
“It is crucial for parents to provide their girls with a strong education and financial independence, instead of forcing them into marriage at the age of fifteen.
In the end, she suggested, “Even if they have to marry young, there should be an agreement allowing them to finish their education after marriage, even if they don’t want to make a career out of it.
