India’s decision to block Pakistani celebrities’ Instagram accounts and remove them from film posters—like Mawra Hocane from Sanam Teri Kasam, Mahira Khan from Raees, and Fawad Khan from Kapoor & Sons—has caused widespread outrage.
In the midst of this, Sana Nawaz shared her perspective. Speaking out, she emphasized that artists serve as ambassadors of peace and love. She firmly stated that true artists don’t recognize borders, as their mission is to unite hearts across nations. Sana added that actors face criticism whether they choose to speak up or stay silent during political conflicts. According to her, the expectations placed on celebrities during such times are unrealistic and unfair.
Despite her well-intentioned message, the public didn’t take it well. Many criticized her for taking a neutral stance during a highly sensitive time.
