Nausheen Shah was unimpressed by the reports of a Rs150 million donation from Peshawar Zalmi chairman and Haier Group of Companies CEO Javed Afridi.
The actress posted a story on Instagram with Chairman Javed Afridi as a tag. She wrote, “We appreciate your kind gesture and your commitment to your career, which is similar to that of a firefighter.
Following news of Javed Afridi’s Rs. 150 million donation, Nausheen Shah pleaded with him to reroute the money to help Palestinians and Afghans, saying,
The amount of Rs. 15 crores is significant; let’s use this amount to aid our Palestinian and Afghan brothers.
A few days ago, it was all over social media that Javed Afridi planned to give the Sri Lankan team a sizeable financial gift if they won, which could help Pakistan advance to the semifinals.
Nevertheless, neither Peshawar Zalmi nor Javed Afridi have formally confirmed or denied this news. We’re still waiting on explanations from the relevant parties, so the situation is still cloaked in mystery.
