Kanojia pointed out that he had a moustache, while the person in CCTV footage did not, a key discrepancy. He claimed the authorities ignored this crucial detail during their investigation, which led to the wrongful identification.

After his release, Kanojia requested the removal of all images linking him to the crime to protect his reputation. He expressed frustration over the lack of thoroughness in the police investigation and vowed to clear his name legally.

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor stepped out for the first time since the attack. On January 26, the couple left Saif’s residence, surrounded by heavy security, after Saif was discharged from the hospital. Saif appeared to be recovering well after undergoing surgeries for injuries sustained during the violent knife attack.
