In a thrilling development, Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan are working on a sequel to their iconic 2004 film Main Hoon Na. Multiple Indian sources confirm that Shah Rukh’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, is actively developing the project.
According to an insider report from Pinkvilla, Farah Khan has created a compelling idea for Main Hoon Na 2, sparking excitement from Shah Rukh. They share a longstanding professional relationship, having collaborated on the blockbusters Om Shanti Om (2007) and Happy New Year (2014).

Farah is currently developing the screenplay with a team of writers and Red Chillies’ creative force. However, Shah Rukh remains cautious, waiting for the final script before approving the project. He insists that the narrative must surpass the original Main Hoon Na. The team expects to complete the first draft by mid-2025 and will decide on the sequel’s fate after review.
Championing Pak-Indian friendship, Main Hoon Na portrayed Shah Rukh as Major Ram Prasad Sharma, a soldier uniting estranged families. The film blended comedy, drama, and action while promoting friendship, love, and national unity. Alongside Shah Rukh, the film featured Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao, and Sunil Shetty.

If the project moves forward, the sequel will mark Farah and Shah Rukh’s fourth collaboration, continuing their decade-spanning partnership. Their previous films have been massive hits, earning a beloved place in Bollywood history. Both stars remain secretive about details, with more updates expected soon.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh is focusing on other major projects. He is filming King, directed by Siddharth Anand, slated for a 2026 release. Additionally, Pathaan 2 remains in the writing stage as part of YRF’s Spy Universe.

Recently, Shah Rukh’s son, Aryan Khan, made headlines by unveiling his directorial debut with Netflix. Titled The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, the announcement video generated a social media frenzy.
The teaser shows Shah Rukh delivering a suave performance while a concealed director demands multiple retakes. Growing frustrated, Shah Rukh asks if the set operates under his father’s rule. The director confidently replies, “Yes, it does,” before revealing himself as Aryan Khan.
Aryan, known for his stoic public persona, surprised fans with a rare smile, stealing the spotlight from his superstar father. Netizens speculated whether he had been saving that grin for his big moment.
As excitement grows around Main Hoon Na 2 and Aryan’s directorial debut, Bollywood fans eagerly await further updates on these much-anticipated projects.
