Recently, renowned Indian actor Kanwaljit Singh praised Pakistani dramas for their compelling storytelling and high production quality.
In a recent interview, Kanwaljit Singh acknowledged the strength of Pakistani drama narratives, emphasizing their well-crafted, lesson-oriented stories. He specifically praised Pakistani writers for their ability to weave meaningful and engaging plots. Comparing the television industries of both countries, he stated that while India’s cinema industry is significantly larger, Pakistani dramas are far superior to Indian television content.
Continuing his praise, he shared a personal experience of working with veteran Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari. “I had the opportunity to work with the incredibly talented Bushra Ansari Ji in a play. We filmed outside Pakistan, in Bangkok, as I was not permitted to travel to Pakistan. Her dialogue delivery and performance were outstanding, proving that Pakistanis excel in television,” he recalled.
Kanwaljit Singh, Bushra Ansari, and Asma Abbas collaborated on the Geo TV drama Kuch Dil Ne Kaha, which aired around thirteen years ago. The drama remains memorable for its engaging plot and strong performances.
