Pakistan’s leading actress Hania Aamir has received a Recognition Award at the UK Parliament, celebrating her contributions to the entertainment industry and her growing global influence.
British MP Afzal Khan hosted the award ceremony on Monday in the Jubilee Room of the House of Commons.
During her speech, Hania Aamir expressed heartfelt gratitude. “It is an absolute honour to be here, and this recognition means a lot to me,” she said. She also shared her hopes for the industry, stating, “I hope we continue to entertain audiences through our work and make Pakistan proud.”
Furthermore, she highlighted the importance of unity within the Pakistani entertainment community. “We must stand by and support each other in every way possible,” she urged.
Acknowledging the contributions of women in the industry, she vowed to create more opportunities for the next generation. “I will do everything in my power to open doors for others,” she added.
Hania Aamir has emerged as one of Pakistan’s most celebrated female stars, gaining widespread recognition nationally and internationally. Her impressive performances and charming screen presence have earned her a loyal fanbase. Moreover, reports suggest that she will debut in the Indian film Sardaar Ji 3, a Punjabi-language movie starring Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa.
Notably, this isn’t the first time Pakistani artists have been honoured in the UK Parliament. Veteran actress Bushra Ansari previously received the prestigious Award of Recognition for her contributions to entertainment and social advocacy. Similarly, Mahira Khan and Fahad Mustafa were also acknowledged for their impact on Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
Such international recognition highlights the growing influence of Pakistani artists on the global stage, further strengthening the country’s cultural representation worldwide.
