Fiery Exchange: Resham Breaks Silence on Her Confrontation with Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar at an Event

Resham, a legendary figure in Pakistan’s film and television industry, continues to command respect and admiration. With a career spanning decades, she has captivated audiences through her remarkable performances and engaging public appearances.

Recently, she appeared on Hina Niazi’s show, offering a rare glimpse into her personal life and experiences. During the candid conversation, Resham spoke openly about the challenges she has faced over the years, revealing a more vulnerable side that fans rarely get to see. Beyond her career, she also touched on matters of faith and spirituality, forging a deeper connection with her audience.

However, what truly caught attention was her reflection on a high-profile clash with renowned writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar. In Pakistan’s entertainment industry, Qamar has built a reputation for his strong opinions and controversial statements. Over the years, many celebrities have had run-ins with him, and Resham is no exception. She once admired his writing, but now she believes he has lost his creative spark.

“He is just copying Indian films now; there’s no originality,” Resham stated, expressing her disappointment. She noted that Qamar’s once-powerful dialogues no longer hold the same impact. “His lines are coming back to bite him,” she added, suggesting that his work has lost the edge that once set him apart.

Resham’s criticism didn’t stop at his writing. She also called out his controversial remarks about women, emphasizing how his unwarranted comments have severely damaged his reputation. Although she didn’t initially name him, the sharp-witted host, Hina Niazi, quickly picked up on the subject.

Without hesitation, Niazi playfully asked, “So if you see Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar Sahab anywhere, do you meet him?” The room erupted in laughter, but the conversation soon turned serious. Resham then shared a shocking encounter with Qamar at a party, where she was accompanied by her close friend, Humayun Saeed.

She described how she greeted Qamar like everyone else at the event, only to receive an unexpected and rude response. “He pointed at me and shouted, ‘Don’t say salaam to me, get away from me,’” Resham recalled. He even dismissed her with a hand gesture, an act that left her stunned.

“I was shocked by his behavior,” she admitted. Despite the insult, Resham chose to stay composed and refrained from creating a scene. She could have responded, but instead, she maintained her dignity and let the moment pass.

Resham is not the only celebrity who has had negative experiences with Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar. Over time, several other stars have spoken out about his rude behavior and unprovoked remarks. This incident wasn’t the first time the two clashed. Earlier this year, Resham criticized Qamar for dragging Mahira Khan into unnecessary controversies. She pointed out that he often associates himself with big stars to stay relevant.

Back in 2022, Qamar made distasteful comments about Mahira Khan, claiming he regretted casting her in Sadqay Tumhare. He stated that he would always “curse” himself for the “sin” of giving her such a significant role.

At this point, the list of celebrities who have issues with Qamar is far longer than those who support him. As more stars share their experiences, it’s becoming evident that his once-respected standing in the industry is steadily declining. Resham’s revelations serve as another reminder of how unchecked arrogance and controversial remarks can tarnish even the most celebrated careers.
