A popular film right now, Khaie is a deadly, action-packed drama that deviates from the usual Pakistani screenplays. Millions of people have viewed it, and the actors in Khaie have all received praise for their outstanding performances.
The origin of Khaie lies in a custom in which, during a feud between two families, one family murders every male member of the other family.
There have been reports of the custom in Punjab’s rural districts, KPK, and Balochistan. However, a lot of people weren’t sure when the drama aired on television if this was real.
Faysal Quraishi has discussed the concerns expressed over the Khaie tradition and whether or not the dramatists intended for it to be directed towards the Pashtun community.
He disclosed that the play Khaie is essentially a fantasy setting, drawing inspiration from several civilizations.
For example, he maintains a distinct Pashtun dialect while dressing in a Balochi shalwar to give his character authenticity.
He discussed whether or not Khaie actually occurs in Pakistan when he was a guest on Hasna Mana Hai.
He disclosed that he has received a plethora of mails from those who have had this nightmare. He learned about individuals who fled to other nations in an attempt to preserve their lives, while just one or two members of other families managed to survive.
