Faysal Quraishi, a celebrated name in Pakistani television and film, continues to impress audiences with his powerful performances. Known for iconic dramas like Boota from Toba Tek Singh, Qaid-e-Tanhai, Bashar Momin, Haiwan, Fitoor, Khaie, and Zulm, he currently stars in Raaja Rani and Behroopia, and will soon appear in the Eid ul Adha film Deemak.
During a recent interview with journalist Ambreen Fatima to promote Deemak, Faysal Quraishi addressed the ongoing criticism directed at fellow actors Fawad Khan and Hania Aamir. The backlash came after fans felt these stars didn’t speak out strongly enough about recent political issues concerning India and Kashmir.
However, Faysal urged people not to judge so quickly. “We talk about unity,” he said, “so why should we expect everyone to react the same way or on the same timeline? That’s not our job.”
He acknowledged that Fawad Khan eventually made a statement and emphasized that he likely wanted to protect his film—a project he had invested six months in. Similarly, Hania Aamir also spoke up, and Mahira Khan, according to Faysal, had been vocal from the beginning. Yet the hate Fawad and Hania received, he stressed, was unnecessary.
Furthermore, Faysal highlighted the dangers of public outrage against celebrities. He referenced a tragic example: “People spread hate about Junaid Jamshed, and he was physically attacked.” Faysal also shared that he once personally advised Nadia Khan against contributing to such negativity, reminding her that artists face immense pressure.
By defending his peers, Faysal emphasized compassion, understanding, and unity over knee-jerk criticism. His words serve as a timely reminder that public figures are human too—and deserve fairness, not blind condemnation.
