Ek Jhooti Kahani: Big Stars Who Rejected the Lead Roles

Zara Noor Abbas and Mohib Mirza, two of Pakistan’s most talented television and film actors, are winning hearts with their stellar performances in the prime-time drama Ek Jhooti Kahani, currently airing on Hum TV. Fans are especially loving their epic and humorous on-screen chemistry, which has become one of the main highlights of the show. Sheharzad Sheikh directed the drama, and Amna Mufti wrote it, while Momina Duraid Productions presented it with high-quality storytelling and engaging content.

Recently, both Zara Noor Abbas and Mohib Mirza appeared in an interview with Fuchsia Magazine, hosted by Rabia Mughni. During their candid conversation, the two stars shared how they landed Ek Jhooti Kahani and revealed which actors the makers initially offered the leading roles.

Zara Noor Abbas shared that she was first approached for the project but stepped away after the birth of her daughter, Noor Jehan. She added that the makers considered Sanam Saeed for the role, but her busy schedule and commitment to her baby kept her from proceeding. Eventually, the project circled back to Zara. Zara said that Sanam told her, “You were destined to do this role; that’s why it kept coming back to you.” She humbly added that the makers considering her after Sanam was a huge honor since Sanam is both a brilliant actor and a remarkable person.

On the other hand, Mohib Mirza revealed that his role was first offered to Ahsan Khan, who could not commit due to date issues. The makers later approached Mohib, and he accepted the role immediately. He also revealed that Sanam was busy with Manto at that time.

Interestingly, both Sanam Saeed and Ahsan Khan are currently shining in other hit dramas. Audiences are praising Sanam for her role as Miss Maria in Main Manto Nahi Hoon, while viewers admire Ahsan as Zawar Shah in Dayan.
