Barzakh has been Nominated for Best Drama Series at the 2024 Asian Academy Creative Awards

The Zindagi original Barzakh, featuring Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed in key roles, has been nominated for Best Drama Series at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2024. The series, whose title translates as Limboland in English, will compete against entries from 13 other countries in the same category in the prestigious event’s grand final.

Set in the exotic Hunza Valley, the series focuses into the life of a 76-year-old man who surprised his estranged family by announcing his engagement to the ghost of his first love.

The Pakistani fantasy drama, directed by Asim Abbasi and centered on the themes of love, loss, and family relationships, made its worldwide debut on Zindagi’s YouTube and ZEE5 on July 19.

Speaking about this noteworthy achievement, director and writer Asim Abbasi stated “I truly feel it’s an honour to receive this nomination, which reflects the hard work and passion of everyone involved in this project.
