However, her recent social media activity has drawn harsh criticism from fans.
The controversy erupted after Ayeza remained silent during the recent Pakistan-India conflict, which ended with a ceasefire. While many celebrities voiced support for the nation, Ayeza’s diplomatic silence didn’t sit well with netizens. Just a day after the conflict’s resolution, she shared photos from her acting class, highlighting her dedication to personal growth and learning.
In her caption, she responded to a classmate’s question about why she was studying despite already being a successful star. Ayeza wrote, “I study so I can be a role model for my daughter, my fans, and girls who look up to me… Being Ayeza Khan is just a drop in the ocean compared to what you all can achieve.” Though her message was meant to be empowering, many took it as self-congratulatory and poorly timed.
As a result, the backlash was swift. Social media users called her “self-obsessed” and “disconnected,” especially during a time of national tension. One user commented, “I used to be her fan, but not anymore,” while another added, “Who cares when you don’t stand for your nation?” Others even compared her to fellow actresses Mahira Khan and Sajal Aly, praising them for their humility and grace.
Despite her intention to inspire, Ayeza’s post has left many disappointed. In the public eye, timing and sensitivity matter just as much as words.
