To make matters worse, Atiqa lost her father to cancer when she was just 19 years old, and he was only 43. The trauma of losing a parent at such a young age added to the emotional burdens she already carried.

In her conversation, Atiqa mentioned how, during those times, things were often kept secret from children.

Her parents did not inform her directly about their divorce or subsequent marriages. She learned about these life-altering events from her school, which added to her trauma as a young girl trying to navigate her new reality.

This longing for familial stability led her to marry early, in hopes of creating a secure family environment for herself and her children.

Scary Encounters and Early Independence

Atiqa has faced her share of frightening experiences as well. She recounted an episode when she was just 12 years old and had a stalker who would follow her to school.

This terrifying situation involved the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and left her deeply scarred. The fear and stress from this incident further influenced her mother’s decision to accept Atiqa’s desire to marry early.
