Despite its phenomenal success, Ali Sethi’s mother, Jugnoo Mohsin, recently shared her candid opinion on the song, revealing that she isn’t particularly fond of it. While discussing Pasoori, she admitted, “I don’t like Pasoori. Now that it has crossed a billion views, Ali said to me, ‘I know, Mom, you don’t like it, but it has been a global success.’”
She explained that traditional Punjabi and classical influences shaped her musical taste.“When I was expecting him, I used to listen to a lot of music, mostly classical Raags and traditional Punjabi songs like dholay and mahiye. We spoke pure Punjabi with our children, which is why Ali sings brilliantly in Punjabi—songs like Umran Langiyan Pabhan Par.”

Even with Pasoori’s overwhelming success, Jugnoo Mohsin stands by her opinion. She reaffirmed, “And by the way, I still don’t like Pasoori.” Her preference remains Ali’s classical and traditional Punjabi renditions over fusion.
She expressed immense pride in her son’s achievements and acknowledged his dedication. His hard work made him a globally recognized artist.Ali Sethi blends classical and modern music, creating a unique sound. His international success proves that music resonates differently with everyone.
