Commencing on March 23, the 2024 Presidential Awards have bestowed distinctions upon a number of well-known and cherished figures.
On the first honour roll of 694 people, filmmaker Bilal Lashari received the much-coveted Sitara-i-Imtiaz.
The director, who is currently enjoying a great deal of success thanks to The Legend of Maula Jatt, has often shown his abilities with ambitious projects.
Many expressed their congratulations to Bilal on Instagram Stories. The Legend of Maula Jatt’s producer, Ammara Hikmat, congratulated the director.
“A star for a superstar,” she wrote along with a picture of the beneficiary. “Where should the congratulations start?”
She enquired. She further emphasised how proud the crew behind the wildly popular movie starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan is of this moment.
Bilal praised Ammara for making the prize possible and reshared the Instagram story on his own.
The Legend of Maula Jatt’s Maakha Natt, played by Mirza Gohar Rasheed, also congratulated Bilal on his significant victory and accolade on Instagram.
“Well done on being awarded this honour,” he posted, tagging Bilal. He said, “This is such a proud moment,” in Urdu.
Vasay Chaudhry, an actor and screenwriter, also appears to have received the coveted accolades. Vasay was congratulated by Ahmad Ali Butt on his Instagram Story.
Ahmad posted a blurry photo of Vasay at the event and wrote, “At last. Brother, this is the first of many to come. Quite pleased with you.
Many local news reports state that Johnson Tariq, a shopkeeper, was also lauded at the Pakistan Day celebration. Johnson Tariq played a crucial role in shielding a woman from mob violence during the recent Icchra incident in Lahore.
Sajal Ali has additionally been granted the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz. In an earlier interview, Sajal stated, “It’s a great honour for me to receive this prestigious recognition,” with The Express Tribune. To be honest, it feels unreal and like I entered the industry only yesterday.
She expressed her gratitude to her family, fans, and fraternity for their unwavering support to The Express Tribune.
Many members of the fraternity, including Shehzad Roy, Wahaj Ali, Amar Khan, Hareem Farooq, and Maya Ali, wished for the star.
