Farhan Saeed Spills the Real Reason Behind Tich Button’s Failure

Farhan Saeed, one of Pakistan’s most versatile artists, has earned admiration for both his music and acting. He first rose to prominence as the lead vocalist of Jal, but his fame skyrocketed after the success of the Ramzan hit Suno Chanda. His standout dramas—Udaari, Prem Gali, Mere Humsafar, and Shirin Farhad—further cemented his popularity. With 4.1 million Instagram followers, Farhan continues to be one of the most-followed celebrities in the country. Additionally, he stepped into film production with Tich Button, written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Qasim Ali Mureed. The film starred Iman Ali, Sonya Hussyn, Feroze Khan, and Farhan himself.

Farhan Saeed Breaks Silence on the Film’s Downfall

Recently, Farhan appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me, where he openly discussed why Tich Button failed to meet expectations. He explained that a project falters when sincerity is missing, whether from the team or the cast. He clarified that while Iman Ali had no issues with the project, the overall casting did not align with the film’s needs. Although the film managed to perform decently, he admitted that the behind-the-scenes experience was extremely challenging.

Moreover, Farhan highlighted the unprofessional behavior he witnessed on set—late arrivals, unnecessary tantrums, and a general lack of commitment. He stated that such outdated attitudes, reminiscent of the ’90s, inevitably impact a film’s quality. Even though screen tests were conducted, complications still arose.

Challenges Behind the Scenes

Additionally, Farhan shed light on the difficulties during the shoot, particularly in Nankana Sahib where temperatures dropped to minus 2 degrees. He acknowledged Iman Ali’s struggle with MS and her medical limitations but also noted her demands for high-level protocols. In contrast, he praised senior actors like Qavi Sahab, Gul-e-Rana, Sohail Sahab, Samia Mumtaz, and Raahila Agha for their professionalism and dedication.

In the end, Farhan jokingly remarked that “the Button got Tiched,” admitting the project had multiple issues. He firmly added that if given another chance, he would never work with the same cast again.
