Reham Rafiq, who plays Amal in ARY Digital’s hit drama Parwarish, recently opened up about her experience on set and the thoughtful themes embedded in the show. While the drama continues to gain popularity for its relatable storytelling and lifelike characters, Reham shared deeper insights during her appearance on Maliha Rehman’s show.
When asked about the portrayal of student romance in Parwarish—especially involving characters like Maya and Wali, or Amal’s quiet love for Wali—Reham offered a refreshing perspective. She explained that showing young people navigating love is not only realistic but necessary. “This is how teenagers grow and experience emotions. Love is part of their journey. Parwarish treats this naturally, unlike other dramas that shy away from such truths,” she noted. According to her, this storyline breaks stereotypes and mirrors what many youth go through.

Furthermore, Reham shed light on the dynamics between female actors on set. While the industry is known for competitiveness, she praised Parwarish for fostering a healthy, supportive environment. Without naming anyone, she admitted that on many sets, actresses often compare screen time, dialogues, or performances, which leads to unnecessary tension. However, she expressed gratitude that Parwarish remained free from such negativity. “We all respected each other’s space and roles, and that truly made this project special,” she said.
Reham also spoke briefly about her career goals. She hopes to take on more meaningful roles that reflect social issues and showcase emotional depth. Her thoughtful approach reflects the same sincerity she brings to her character Amal.
As Parwarish continues to strike a chord with viewers, Reham’s honest views add another layer to why this drama feels different. It’s not just about storytelling—it’s about representation, relatability, and respect both on and off-screen.
