Veteran Pakistani actress Ayesha Khan, known for her iconic roles in classic PTV dramas, has passed away at the age of 77. The tragic news came to light when her neighbors in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, alerted authorities after noticing her prolonged absence. The police discovered her body in her apartment, which had reportedly been there for nearly a week.
Born in 1948, Ayesha Khan graduated from Karachi University before stepping into the world of acting in 1964. She belonged to a family of artists and was the elder sister of the late actress Khalida Riasat. Ayesha rose to fame through memorable performances in hit serials like Afshan, Aanch, Aroosa, Mirat-ul-Uroos, Mehndi, Naqab Zan, Mubarak Ho Beti Hui Hai, and Meri Guriya. Her talent and graceful screen presence earned her admiration across generations.

Actor Khaled Anam shared the heartbreaking news of her death on social media. In his emotional post, he wrote, “Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return. With profound sadness, we share the news of legendary Pakistani actress Ayesha Khan’s passing. She passed this June 2025. She was 76. May Allah grant her Maghfirah (forgiveness), elevate her ranks in Jannah, and give patience to her family, fans, and all who loved her.”
