Veteran Pakistani artist Bushra Ansari, widely celebrated for her stellar performances in hit dramas like Tere Bin, Barat Series, Pardes, and Deewar-e-Shab, has once again made headlines—not for a role, but for her bold words. Currently touring Germany and Switzerland for a series of fundraising events, Bushra Ansari took a firm stand against Indian lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar’s recent remarks targeting Pakistan.
Addressing the issue in a powerful video message, Bushra expressed her disapproval of India’s policies and Javed Akhtar’s statements following a recent false flag operation in Pahalgam, Indian-occupied Kashmir. She questioned India’s ongoing actions, saying, “What drama are you playing, India? First, fix your own policies. You are deporting women who spent decades in India and married Indian men. Why issue them visas in the first place?”
She didn’t hold back while calling out Javed Akhtar, stating that landlords in India barely offered rental houses to writers like him. Now you speak against Pakistan while denying even the belief in Allah. You’re aging—act with some dignity. At least Naseeruddin Shah stays silent.”
She also criticized Indian TV anchor Arnab Goswami, describing his aggressive style of communication as more shouting than constructive dialogue. Additionally, she criticized a retired Indian major for his constant hateful rhetoric against Pakistan.
Despite her strong stance, Bushra emphasized that her issue lies with the government and toxic voices, not ordinary people. She shared a warm encounter with an Indian girl abroad, saying, “People want peace and love. It’s governments and loudmouths who poison minds.”
