Tensions between Pakistan and India have escalated after the deadly Pahalgam attack in India-occupied Kashmir, leading to another wave of Pakistani celebrities’ social media accounts being blocked in India.
The April 22 Pahalgam attack, which killed 26 people, was described as one of the worst civilian attacks in years. India quickly blamed Pakistan, but Islamabad firmly denied any involvement. As a result, a growing number of Pakistani stars have found their social media accounts restricted in India.
Celebrities like Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Sanam Saeed, Bilal Abbas, and many others were among the first to face this digital ban. Indian users attempting to access their accounts now encounter the message: “Your user is unavailable in India… Because of a legal request, we have to restrict access to your user.”
Previously, Ushna Shah, Mansha Pasha, Ali Gul Pir, and Arsalan Naseer also reported that their Instagram profiles were inaccessible in India. As the censorship continues, more celebrities are getting blocked and sharing their perspectives on the ongoing situation.
This digital crackdown has stirred considerable discussion, with celebrities expressing their frustration and calling attention to the broader implications of such restrictions on free expression and cultural exchange.
Farhan Saeed

Farhan Saeed pointed out that the conversation began with discussions of a potential war, only to evolve into what he described as “high school blocking.” He expressed that this situation was ultimately a “loss” for the Indian audience.
Despite his frustration, Farhan quickly clarified his stance, sending love to Indian fans caught in the crossfire. He added, “I pray that sense prevails, and that you’ll be able to see your favorite stars again.”
Adnan Siddiqui
Adnan Siddiqui humorously shared that India had blocked his account and compared the situation to Indian Air Force pilot Abhinandan Varthaman’s capture. He joked that India “caught” his account as soon as he crossed the digital “border,” referencing Pakistan’s capture of Abhinandan in 2019 after his MiG 21 Bison was downed.
While in Orlando, Siddiqui discovered that India had blocked his account. Undeterred, the Yalghaar actor quickly reminded India with a playful message: “Abhi toh party shuru hui hai” (“The party has just begun”).
Aima Baig

Singer Aima Baig kept it short and sweet by sharing a screenshot showing her account as “unavailable in India” and commenting, “urmm… okay!”
We couldn’t decipher whether Baig was confused or simply didn’t care.
Asim Azhar

Asim Azhar, on the other hand, expressed delight as he posted an Instagram story announcing that his account was unavailable in India.
“I made it, guys,” the singer wrote, proudly joining some of the biggest names in the industry who had been banned — a clear testament to his influence and popularity.
Armeena Khan

Actor Armeena Khan wasn’t too bothered by the development, but she expressed concern for “those fans who were always supportive and peaceful.” She acknowledged their unwavering support while remaining unaffected by the situation herself.

She shared a second story showing the percentage of countries engaging with her content, with Pakistan leading at a remarkable 77%, while India accounted for just 5.4%. Despite this, she stated, “I’m personally good and not going to be too affected by the banning.”
Muneeb Butt

Muneeb Butt expressed that he was not stressed about India’s actions and had no “tension” regarding the situation. He confidently added, “Pakistan Zindabad,” reinforcing his unwavering support for Pakistan.
