Renowned Pakistani film, television, and stage actor Javed Kodu passed away today after a prolonged battle with multiple critical illnesses. With a career spanning 47 years, Javed Kodu left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. He appeared in over 150 films and dramas, earning praise for his versatility and unique stage presence. Some of his most notable projects include Aashiyana, Hero, Pagri Sambhal Jatta, Ainak Wala Jin, Boxer, Desan Da Raja, and Jadu Nagri. He began acting at the young age of nine with his first performance at Alhamra Arts Council.

In recent months, Javed Kodu had been bedridden, and today he took his final breath, leaving behind a wife, two sons, and a daughter. One of his sons, Shera, has followed in his father’s footsteps and is currently part of the Mazaqraat team. Fans, artists, and admirers across the country are mourning the loss of a beloved entertainer who brought joy and laughter to generations.
Fans and admirers are flooding social media with heartfelt tributes. A fan wrote, “Thank you for making our childhood beautiful. May his soul rest in peace.” Others offered prayers and expressed gratitude for his lifelong dedication to the arts. Veteran actor Mohsin Gillani also paid tribute, stating, “Javed Kodu left this world with many complaints and sorrows in his heart. A great artist with short height, he will always be remembered as a remarkable example. May Allah forgive him.”
