His father was sentenced to 14 years in prison, and Akram, along with his brothers, worked from a young age to support the family. His father went to jail when Akram was just 6 or 7 years old and was released when Akram was 21. The family moved away from their hometown and never returned.
Years later, Akram Udas decided to seek forgiveness from the families of the victims. He felt that his father could never find peace unless those people forgave him.
