Shaheefa Jabbar is a talented model and television actor from Pakistan who has starred in many popular shows in her country.
She has also had success as a model, endorsing several upscale clothing labels. Shaheefa Jabbar has collaborated with some of the best fashion designers in Pakistan.
She is also well-known for her charming modelling clips with Bollywood influences. Saheefa Jabbar received her LUMS degree.
She has been dealing with a severe depression since 2013, which has made her fairly outspoken about the illness
Saheefa recently discussed her despair in an appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast.
“I had been going through depression since 2013, but I wasn’t aware that it is depression;
I just thought that I am reacting to the situations which don’t go in my favour,” Saheefa said in reference to her depression.
After some time, I came to the realization that my panic attacks would never go away even though
I had it all a wonderful life, caring parents, plenty of money, and a supportive husband. At that point,
I became aware that I had been experiencing significant anxiety and sadness.
She added, “Being from a middle-class family where most people just had their average graduation degree and no awareness of things like mental health,
I didn’t have much exposure to or knowledge about depression.” Saheefa Jabbar Khattak called out her therapist during her depression tale,
Saying that she was treating her rudely and that her main concerns were about her time, money, and other appointments.
She added that a therapist need to be concerned about their clients’ well-being.
She added that she occasionally experienced severe panic attacks and considered suicide.
“My long distance relationship made me realise that I am suffering from a chronic depression; previously, the understanding about my depression was blurred in my mind,” Saheefa Jabbar Khattak continued.
The short-term stressors that I’ve encountered in this long-distance relationship have helped me to recognize the seriousness of my problem.
Saheefa Jabbar Khattak also revealed that although her brother and husband provide her with an incredible support network,
Saheefa Jabbar Khattak’s anxiety and despair remain unmanageable, making it difficult for her to heal. Saheefa recalled her difficult experience with depression during her travel to Canada, saying,
“I informed the crew about my condition because I was already thirty pills down and I knew I would be having severe panic attacks.” Every couple of hours,
I would take antidepressants; I can’t even recall our encounter.
I recall being unstable for days at a time, and there was a period when I wanted no one to talk to me and needed my spouse to take care of me.
